Last week, Porto Alegre hosted an unprecedented international medical event. The 1st International Symposium on Pediatric Neuro-oncology brought together the leading experts in brain cancer in children.

The audience was made up of students and doctors. The symposium was organized by professor and researcher Rafael Roesler, PhD in biochemistry, from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). It also included an important statement by the president of the Children’s Cancer Institute (ICI), doctor Algemir Brunetto.
