Morning Joe

On August 7, MBI gained international recognition when it was featured on MSNBC — one of the leading news networks in the United States — during Morning Joe, a national broadcast.

Our founder, Fernando Goldsztein, was invited to speak about the initiative’s global impact and advances in pediatric brain tumor research. He highlighted how the international consortium coordinated by MBI now brings together 17 leading institutions and some of the world’s most respected scientists in a collaborative and urgent effort.

This model — agile, integrated, and 100% funded by private donations — is establishing itself as a global reference in rare disease research. Its strength lies in combining execution speed, scientific excellence, and a network of experts committed to the same purpose: accelerating the arrival of new therapies to patients who cannot wait.

Among the many research approaches supported by MBI, two were highlighted in the report:

  • A clinical trial with an approved mRNA vaccine designed to stimulate the immune system to recognize and attack specific tumor cells.
  • MATCHPOINT, a study that combines a patient’s own T cells with a drug capable of blocking the tumor’s defense mechanisms — now in the recruitment phase.

We thank MSNBC and Morning Joe for the platform and the conversation, which help amplify our mission and reinforce the importance of investing in cutting-edge science for rare diseases. We remain steadfast in our commitment: accelerating cures through science and purpose.
