Em um paciente, houve uma elimina\u00e7\u00e3o quase completa da doen\u00e7a metast\u00e1tica generalizada.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4ad2fd2 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"4ad2fd2\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>O MATCHPOINT ir\u00e1 testar essa t\u00e9cnica em um estudo piloto com seis pacientes com recidivas de tumores do Grupo 4. O Dr. Mitchell busca ampliar a efetividade da terapia celular adotiva combinando-a com um inibidor de checkpoint imunol\u00f3gico. Esse medicamento impede que o tumor se proteja por meio de checkpoints imunol\u00f3gicos. Em um checkpoint, a c\u00e9lula tumoral se liga a uma c\u00e9lula imunol\u00f3gica e envia um sinal de parada \u00e0 c\u00e9lula T atacante. O inibidor elimina essa linha de defesa, aumentando a efic\u00e1cia da imunoterapia.<\/p><p>\u201cNosso principal objetivo \u00e9 curar crian\u00e7as com c\u00e2nceres cerebrais e fazer com que a imunoterapia passe para a linha de frente dos tratamentos, a fim de possivelmente evitar ou diminuir a toxidade dos tratamentos padr\u00f5es que usamos atualmente,\u201d diz o Dr. Mitchell.
